Iron, Sulphur, & Manganese Filtration Solutions for Well & Lake/Cottage Water

Choose Iron & Sulphur Free!

Premium Zentec hybrid capsulate chemical-free filter

Iron and Manganese staining and Sulphur (often referred to as rotten egg smell) can be present in your water which will cause adverse affects on your appliances and plumbing systems.

The presence of these chemicals can cause deterioration and wear in dishwashers, hot water tanks, washing machines and many others appliances that will shorten their life span.

Laundry

Washing laundry in stain free water has proven to be more effective than using water with iron and sulphur content. No matter the amount of laundry soap or detergent used, it will not remove the constant iron staining or sulphur (the rotten egg smell) from your water.

Clothing having continuous iron staining may cause fiber deterioration and wear at a faster rate. Nothing looks clean and nothing is clean. Laundry washed in Excalibur Water Systems stain free water will be brighter, cleaner and last longer.

Dishwashing

Here too, the stain free water makes dishes and glassware shine eliminating etching, staining and sulphur (the rotten egg smell) from your water supply. When using stain free water your glassware and dishes look clean, smell clean and last longer.

Housecleaning

Stain free water cuts the time required to do house cleaning in half. Stain free water only requires a quick once over in cleaning sinks, bath tubs, shower tiles and plumbing fixtures as no more Iron staining and sulphur (the rotten egg smell) will be present.

Iron & Sulphur Bacteria

Iron bacteria and sulphur bacteria are small living organisms that naturally occur in soil, surface water and groundwater. Ozone kills and removes iron and sulphur bacteria from your water.

Iron bacteria combines iron (or manganese) present in water, with oxygen. The iron bacteria may form large masses of an orangey-brown slime.

Sulphur-reducing bacteria live in oxygen-deficient environments. They break down sulphur compounds present in water, producing hydrogen sulphide gas in the process.

Iron bacteria are more common than sulphur bacteria, because iron is more abundant in groundwater.

On all water wells, new or old, the water quality can change at any time as a water test is only a moment in time. Therefore regular water testing should be done on all water wells.

Iron and sulphur bacteria can occur at any time in a newly installed well or in an older well after months or years of use. Removal of iron and sulphur bacteria requires an Ozone Disinfection Iron and Sulphur Filtration System. This system can be a chemical free filtration system or a chemical injection system that uses either chlorine or peroxide for disinfection. If a chemical injection system is used, an additional chemical removal filter would be added.

An Iron and Sulphur Ozone Enhanced Filtration System creates and continuously injects ozone for disinfection during the regeneration cycle. This process creates ozone microscopic air bubbles that provide disinfection which continues for the full 40 minutes of the regeneration cycle. The result is iron and sulphur bacteria free water after which the filter will automatically go back to service mode.
