Inlet is labelled on tank head as Upflow inlet. Water flows upflow through the conditioner in normal operation. BYPASS OPERATION The inlet and outlet handles point away from the bypass valve. The system is isolated from the water pressure in the plumbing system. Untreated water is supplied to the house in this position. Note: - Use this bypass operation while servicing the system SHUT OFF MODE (Only Demand) The outlet handle points away from the bypass valve and the inlet handle points in the direction of flow, the water is stopped going to the plumbing system. If water is available on the outlet side of the Filter, it is an indication of water bypass around the system. Caution: - This mode does not stop the pressure going into the tank.
